The Pfingsten Difference
TEAM-BASED CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Pfingsten Partners has developed a team-based continuous improvement operating model that combines the best of modern management practices, including Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Total Quality Management. Our team-based continuous improvement model incorporates collaboration, data-driven decision making, a cross functional approach and continuous improvement elements from these programs but eliminates the jargon, keeping the process simple enough for everyone to understand and embrace.
Pfingsten Partners has developed three formal training programs: one for senior and middle management, a second, larger program for team leaders, and a third for team members. The senior and middle management program teaches managers how to lead and sponsor a team-based, data-driven, cross functional organization. The team leader program equips participants with tools and knowledge in many areas including:
- Seven step problem solving methodology (the core of our process)
- Communication and presentation skills
- Setting goals and expectations
- Conducting effective problem solving meetings
- Handling team conflict and feedback
- Selecting and developing team members
- Gathering and analyzing data
- Creating and standardizing processes
- Aligning team objectives with the business plan
- Having fun and celebrating success
The team member program prepares all first time team members for the task of being a productive and valued team member by providing focused training on the basic skills needed to understand and fulfill the role of team member.
Pfingsten believes our team-based continuous improvement program helps middle market companies reach their growth and profit potential and provides a bridge for the transition from entrepreneurial management practices to professional management practices. This process has also been proven to be a valuable tool to successfully integrate add-on acquisitions.
